Before joining Howard Law, William represented clients in foreclosure defense, consumer debt, and wage garnishment matters. This experience gave him valuable insight into contested foreclosure litigation from multiple perspectives, including the defenses, procedural challenges, and documentation issues that can arise throughout a case.
His work included analyzing mortgage and loan documents, identifying potential defenses and deficiencies, drafting pleadings, negotiating resolutions, and guiding clients through complex property and debt-related disputes. This background now provides William with a broader understanding of the issues lenders and servicers may encounter when pursuing foreclosure actions.
William’s real estate experience also extends well beyond foreclosure litigation. He previously worked with a Canadian real estate developer supporting condominium and mixed-use development projects. His work involved agreements of purchase and sale, condominium regulations, warranty matters, and post-closing issues, providing him with practical exposure to the many moving parts behind sophisticated real estate projects.
He later expanded his experience in Florida, working with a South Florida law firm on condominium law and real estate regulatory matters. Together, these experiences have given William a diverse foundation in both the transactional and litigation sides of real estate law.
At Howard Law, he draws on that background to help lenders, servicers, and real estate clients navigate foreclosure matters with a clear understanding of both the legal issues at hand and the broader real estate considerations behind them.
William earned both his Juris Doctor and an advanced LL.M. in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law, giving him specialized academic training that complements his practical experience in foreclosure and real estate law. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Concordia University in Montreal.
He is a member of The Florida Bar and has built his practice around a commitment to careful analysis, diligent representation, and practical problem-solving. His experience across foreclosure litigation, real estate development, condominium matters, and transactions gives him a distinctive perspective when approaching complex property-related matters.
